Job summary

KEOLIS limited seeks an Asset & Maintenance Improvement Engineer in Dubai to support strategic and operational asset management initiatives. You will lead FRACAS processes, perform RAMS analyses, and drive reliability improvements across asset classes, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance performance and reduce life-cycle costs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and proven experience in reliability engineering, failure investigations, and RAMS

Asset & Maintenance Improvement Engineer

Support the primary engineering workstreams, including but not limited to FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System), Obsolescence Management (OM), Engineering Technical Investigations (ETI) and Single Point of Failure (SPoF), designed to identify, mitigate and address risks or issues impacting asset performance or reliability within the engineering section in order to improve the assets performance and reliability in the short term as well as in the long term.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic

• Support the delivery of Strategic and Annual Asset Management Plans (SAMP/AAMP), ensuring stakeholder alignment and approvals.
• Monitor, track, and report progress of Asset Management Objectives.
• Develop Asset Class Strategies aligned with EMAT workstreams and Functional Asset Breakdown Structure (FABS).
• Conduct RAMS analyses and evaluate maintenance strategies, cost-benefit opportunities, and technical solutions to improve reliability, optimize maintenance performance, and support continuous defect elimination.
• Establish data requirements, enhance MMS data quality, and leverage BI tools to improve asset performance analysis, identify fault trends, increase engineering data visibility, and support informed asset management decisions.
• Proactively identify, maintain and own the Opportunities for Improvement (OFI). OFIs are identified through internal and external process and business events for sustained performance improvement in the organization, with a strong focus on risk, cost and performance management.
• Support the implementation of selected improvement projects, e.g. Non-OEM Studies.

Stakeholder / Customer

• Liaise closely with Internal and external stakeholders and teams (i.e. KM internal teams, suppliers, vendors and contractors) to facilitate related activities to deliver asset management plans utilizing sound engineering frameworks, strategy, and standards, to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
• Participate in development and optimization of processes to improve business efficiency whilst at the same time, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Support in conducting assurance activities in connection with the Maintenance activities and processes
• Participate and offer technical expertise in meetings with client and other relevant parties for asset reliability improvement initiatives.
• Provide fit-for-purpose information to stakeholders on asset health assessment and maintenance processes and activities

Operational

• Lead FRACAS process, ETI / PCA tracking, failure trend analysis, root cause investigations, defect elimination to support asset reliability improvements with minimal supervision, escalating to the higher management as and when required.
• Laise with Engineering and Maintenance teams to consolidate the Asset Condition Score for monitoring Asset Health status and update any degradation observed.
• Support in Reliability Analysis & Improvement (Fault Trends, RAMS, MIP) for Dubai Metro Asset as per the agreed frequency and deliver the BAU requirements.
• Coordinate and control changes proposed in the PM program (MAT – Maintenance Activities Table).
• Execute engineering governance activities through the Engineering Master Tracker and Engineering Calendar, ensuring effective oversight and timely closure of ETI actions, obsolescence mitigation initiatives, critical items, SAMP/AAMP actions, maintenance improvement plans, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and other engineering initiatives.
• Utilize engineering assurance outputs to maintain audit readiness and support compliance requirements.
• Perform other assignments as requested by Senior Management.
• Support Asset & Maintenance Improvement Manager in failure analysis and asset performance assessment and generate reports

Capability / People

• Partner with and provide guidance to maintenance teams, in reliability related processes and the identification of critical spares.
• Coach groups and individuals as required to deliver and sustain the asset performance improvement

Dimensions
