Job summary

A leading engineering company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Field Electronic Technician to troubleshoot, test, and assemble electronic systems. Responsibilities include testing and evaluating performance, assisting with installations, and troubleshooting control systems. Candidates should hold a degree/diploma in electronics or a related field and have 1–2 years of experience. Proficiency in using oscilloscope and multimeters is crucial.

Overview

As Field Electronic Technician you will troubleshoot, test, and assemble electro-mechanical assemblies.

As a Field Electronic Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Test and evaluate the performance, and if required, repair oil/purpose electronic and instrumentation test equipment.
  • Review the accuracy of procedures for the assembly/disassembly and checkout of instrumentation. Configure electronic sensors and devices.
  • Troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems.
  • Assist with installation and configuration of instrumentation systems, sensors and accessories.
Work Experience
  • Have a bachelor's degree or a technical diploma or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or instrumentation.
  • Have 1–2 years of experience in maintenance of electronic or instrumentation equipment.
  • Ability to identify and communicate technical problems by using logical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of using oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other basic instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
