Job summary

Dubai Center for Special Needs in Dubai is seeking an Art Teacher to deliver engaging art education to students with special educational needs. The role emphasizes painting, drawing, and expressive activities, with ceramics being a bonus.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Art with a recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent), at least three years of teaching experience with diverse abilities, strong English communication, and a creative, collaborative approach

The role

We are seeking an Art Teacher to join our growing team and deliver engaging and creative art education to students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in painting, including watercolour and oils, and drawing, and will be passionate about encouraging creativity and self-expression. Experience in ceramics would be an advantage. We are looking for someone who is creative, dedicated and able to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the centre.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art or a related subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed. or equivalent
• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, preferably working with students with special educational needs
• Strong skills and experience in painting, including watercolour and oils, and drawing
• Experience in ceramics would be an advantage
• A proven track record of providing high-quality teaching and learning
• Creative and enthusiastic, with the ability to develop engaging art activities suited to students with a range of abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Fluent in spoken and written English
