About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer with expertise in flexible packaging materials, specifically specialty films, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with extrusion films (cast and blown), lidding films, and high-barrier films for various applications including the food industry, ready-to-eat meals, coffee and tea barrier pouches, meat and sausage packing, fish and seafood packing, dates and dairy products (such as butter, cheese, and grated cheese), retort and pet food, nuts and dry fruits packaging, as well as medical and sterile packaging.

The successful candidate should currently be working within the flexible converting industry, possess deep technical knowledge of specialty films, and be adept at translating this knowledge into customer-focused solutions.

This is a sales target-driven role with strong growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies focused on specialty films for flexible packaging applications.
  • Identify, engage, and grow new business opportunities across key markets including food, pet food, dairy, medical, and sterile packaging.
  • Provide customers with expert technical consultation on extrusion films (cast and blown), lidding films, and high-barrier film solutions tailored to their application needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor market trends, innovations, and competitor offerings to continuously refine the sales approach and product positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teamstechnical, R&D, and supply chainto deliver customized packaging solutions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits, delivering compelling presentations and product insights.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales targets, contributing to overall company growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 37 years of hands-on experience in the flexible converting and packaging industry, with a concentration on specialty films.
  • Proven technical knowledge of extrusion (cast and blown) films, lidding films, and high-barrier films used in food, dairy, pet food, and medical packaging.
  • Familiarity with flexible packaging applications including ready-to-eat meals, coffee and tea barrier pouches, meat and seafood packing, nuts, dried fruits, and sterile medical packaging.
  • A strong industry network within the food or healthcare packaging sectors is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions clearly.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales targets in a competitive, B2B environment.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required for customer engagement and business development.
  • A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of specialty films for flexible packaging applications.
  • Proficiency in extrusion technologies, including cast and blown film processes.
  • Experience with lidding films and high-barrier film solutions.

  • Expertise in B2B solution selling within industrial or technical packaging sectors.
