Job description

You will be reporting to the Service Sales Manager Middle East and will be responsible for developing sales plans and strategies based on knowledge of the market, customers, competitors, and Hitachi Energy's installed base. Your goal is to capture opportunities, increase market share, and effectively utilize sales tools to manage customer relationships, improve internal communications, and enhance sales efficiency.

How you will make an impact

  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand needs, promote comprehensive service offerings, and ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, building long-term commitment in complex business situations.
  • Utilize an extensive network of contacts inside and outside the organization to achieve sales goals, creating value for both the customer and Hitachi Energy through value-based selling.
  • Identify short- and long-term sales opportunities within your area, balancing immediate success with long-term effectiveness, and act as a coach to colleagues in overcoming obstacles and dealing with challenges.
  • Analyze customer and competitor strategies to create significant business opportunities and propose solutions to meet evolving needs.
  • Negotiate contract conditions, including commercial, financial, and legal terms, to improve terms and minimize risks, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with risk management processes.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the sales process and related tools, and train colleagues in their use and understanding.
  • Understand the service portfolio thoroughly to sell services and identify service opportunities based on customer analysis of the installed base.
  • Propose Hitachi Energy service solutions to address specific issues, working proactively with customers to explore operational needs and expectations, and negotiate deviations to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Take ownership of specific customer cases to ensure efficient resolution of issues.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • A bachelor's degree in any field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in contract management and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
