As we enter the next phase of our growth, VIVA is seeking future leaders who are ambitious, hands-on, and passionate about people and performance. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing 6 to 10 VIVA stores, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and team engagement. To build the strongest foundation, all Area Managers begin as Trainees, gaining in-depth exposure to our operations as a Team Member, Assistant Manager, and Store Manager. This ensures you have a deep understanding of the challenges your teams face—and how to best lead them.
What You’ll Do
- Regularly visit your stores to assess performance, provide direction, and set clear objectives
- Coach and develop Store Managers and their teams through ongoing support and performance reviews
- Lead from the front—demonstrate ownership, drive, and visibility across all store levels
- Implement actions to improve sales, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency
- Manage escalated operational challenges and ensure timely resolution
- Oversee receiving, stock control, shrinkage management, and store merchandising
- Ensure compliance with operating standards, customer service, and visual presentation guidelines
- Foster a positive working environment that drives productivity, engagement, and growth
- Handle complaints, customer queries, and implement corrective measures
- Contribute to strategic business planning and align store execution with company goals
- Attend monthly regional meetings to align with peers and leadership
- Promote and maintain the company image, store cleanliness, and dress code adherence
What You’ll Need
- Prior experience in discounter supermarket or high-volume retail operations is a must
- Proven ability to lead multi-site teams and deliver consistent, measurable results
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret complex reports and KPIs
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and people management skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be hands-on, and lead by example
- Motivation to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
- Strong communication skills
- Valid UAE driving license and flexibility to travel across the region
