Join the Global Specialty fulfillment team as an Area Manager in our Special Handling network. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading one or more sites from an operations and compliance perspective. You will take full ownership of the fulfillment center operations, including first, middle, and last mile delivery. You will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve timely launches and operational metrics. With customer obsession and a high sense of ownership, you will utilize your skills to identify patterns and disruptions, analyze data, and foresee implications.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Manage performance, cost, compliance, and capacity of third-party logistics partners (3PL) and carriers.
  2. Monitor and analyze customer experience and delivery performance; develop KPIs and SLAs with 3PL.
  3. Optimize the 3PL's delivery network to improve speed to customers through various initiatives.
  4. Lead major projects within UAE Operations, Fulfillment, Supply Chain, and Transportation to support growth.
  5. Contribute to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  6. Participate in contract negotiations with fulfillment partners.
  7. Prioritize projects and software feature requests, evaluate, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  8. Develop and maintain effective communication processes across Amazon's retail and fulfillment teams.
  9. Own the deployment of continuous improvement standards in collaboration with MENA Process Owners and local managers.
  10. Train and direct associates to ensure adherence to norms and practices.
  11. Audit sites for operational conformance based on SOPs, analyze data, and propose improvements.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2 years of Amazon experience.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • 1 year of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
