Sisco Jobs, on behalf of a client in Abu Dhabi, seeks an Area Engineer for Oil & Gas projects. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities within an assigned plant or project area and ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and HSE requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 8–12 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, EPC projects, or field environments, with a Bachelor’s in Engineering and preferred postgraduate or professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Area Engineering: coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities within an assigned operational or project area.
• Oil & Gas Engineering: understanding of engineering practices and execution requirements within Oil & Gas environments.
• Engineering Coordination: manage interfaces between engineering, construction, operations, and other disciplines.
• Technical Troubleshooting: assess field engineering problems and coordinate technically appropriate solutions.
• HSE & Quality Compliance: safety, quality, and engineering compliance in Oil & Gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities within the assigned plant, project, or operational area.
• Monitor field engineering activities and resolve technical issues affecting project execution or operations.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, and project engineering teams.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with approved specifications, Oil & Gas standards, and applicable HSE requirements.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure engineering work meets quality and schedule requirements.
• Identify technical risks, engineering constraints, and interface issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare engineering progress updates and communicate technical issues to relevant project stakeholders.
