Job summary

A leading architectural consultancy in Dubai is seeking an experienced Architectural Inspector to join their team. The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of extensive experience, particularly in high-rise hotel and mixed-use projects. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor submissions, ensuring compliance with specifications, and supervising site activities. This position is available for immediate joining on a 5-month fixed-term contract.

Overview

The Role Our Global Architectural & Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Architectural Inspector to join their team in Dubai. Successful candidates will have strong Architectural Inspection experience and major project exposure in hotel, hospitality and mixed use high rise towers projects in snagging and handover stages. This role is available for immediate joining and is for an initial 5 month fixed term contract as an outsourced employee through J10 Consulting.

Responsibilities

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings.
• Review and comment on Contractor’s technical submissions for the architecture and other relevant information (shop drawings / materials / method statements / pre-qualification / design).
• Ensure compliance with the architectural design intent, contract specifications, and drawings.
• Carry out site inspections when necessary.
• Monitor and supervise the work of contractors on daily activities.
• Report on deficiency corrections on site in relation to the architecture.
• Liaise with other disciplines for co-ordination issues and attend technical meetings / discussions to resolve issues related to architectural information.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 5 years of extensive practical experience in the field as Architectural, ID and Finishes Inspector.
• BSc Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• Must have experience in hotel and mixed use high rise projects.
• Strong experience in snagging and handing over of high end projects.
• Strong written and verbal English skills for completing reports and attending meetings is required.
