Overview
The Architecture Engineer is responsible to manage the design of Architectural buildings/structures of a particular project.
Responsibilities
- Reviews tender documents drawings specifications bill of quantities BEDD etc.
- Prepares Architectural design complying with Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and the International Standards
- Prepares hand-drawn sketches for Designer/Draftsman to prepare drawings
- Check drawings prepared by Draftsman / Designer
- Calculates quantities and prepares Material Take-Off (MTO) / Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Prepare Architectural shop drawings
- Prepare purchase requisitions material requisitions technical bid evaluations and concession requests
- Refer project specifications applicable for the project engineering work
- Refer drawings and documents from other disciplines as applicable
- Fulfill QHSE requirements in design calculations and drawings
- Control man-hours spent in preparation of design calculation and checking drawing
- Participate in engineering review meetings with Client Consultant Contractor Subcontractor vendors and other interested parties
- Visit Sites as required to solve engineering problems at site
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree or higher qualification in Architectural engineering discipline from a reputable college or university
- Minimum of 8 years proven work experience in design work related with oil and gas / infrastructure / building industries
- Must have good analytical skills interpersonal skills and team-working skills
- Must have excellent computer proficiency (MS Office Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook AutoCAD and other design/engineering software)
- Knowledge of Architectural software such as AUTOCAD REVIT etc.
- Must have positive attitude very dynamic highly motivated and hardworking
- Must be flexible and have ability to work under pressure to meet the demands of projects
