Job summary

Fatherson International Fze is seeking a capable architectural drafter in Abu Dhabi to prepare shop drawings and BIM models. You will develop 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D Revit models, coordinating with structural and MEP disciplines and updating drawings per consultant feedback while ensuring compliance with project specs and UAE regulations.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Architecture, strong detailing skills, and experience reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with architectural shop drawings and construction detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and clash coordination is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural shop drawings, detailed drawings, layouts, sections, elevations, and construction drawings.
• Develop and maintain 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare detailed drawings for floor plans, partitions, ceilings, doors, windows, finishes, and other architectural elements.
• Coordinate architectural drawings and BIM models with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Review architectural drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Update drawings and models based on consultant comments, design revisions, and site requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design documents, project specifications, and UAE building requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, BIM coordinators, consultants, and site teams.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control in accordance with project procedures.
