Job summary

Fatherson International is seeking a proficient Architectural Drafter in Abu Dhabi to create and maintain architectural shop drawings and BIM models. You will produce 2D drawings and 3D BIM deliverables using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinate with structural and MEP teams, and ensure alignment with project specs and UAE building standards.

The role requires reading drawings, detailing construction components, and updating drawings per consultant feedback and site needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with architectural shop drawings and construction detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Experience coordinating with structural and MEP disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural shop drawings, detailed drawings, layouts, sections, elevations, and construction drawings.
• Develop and maintain 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D architectural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare detailed drawings for floor plans, partitions, ceilings, doors, windows, finishes, and other architectural elements.
• Coordinate architectural drawings and BIM models with structural and MEP disciplines.
• Review architectural drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and coordination issues.
• Update drawings and models based on consultant comments, design revisions, and site requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design documents, project specifications, and applicable UAE building requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, BIM coordinators, consultants, and site teams.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control in accordance with project procedures.
