Overview

Architectural Designer vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE. Create price quotes for manufacturing and installation of personalized indications and architectural items by examining plans, drawings, requirements, quote requests, proposals, and other paperwork to prepare time, expense, and labor price quotes for products, projects, or services.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and generate costs by evaluating work, material, and time requirements.
• Review quote requests and project drawings to identify product and labor needs; clarify details with Sales, Project Manager, and Designer as required; validate that bid requests match submitted drawings.
• Evaluate tender requirements and drawings to develop a cost timetable suitable for use as a formal tender quote.
• Present prepared quotes to relevant management or direct to clients.
• Consult with customers, vendors, and colleagues in other divisions or setup groups to discuss and formulate quotes and resolve issues.
• Contribute to the overall success of the company by working collaboratively with all divisions.
• Maintain technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications.
• Analyze completed tasks to compare estimated costs to actual prices and identify causes for any disparities.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual prices.

METALWORK ESTIMATOR – Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Mechanical preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in estimation.
• Knowledge of steel frameworks, facades, drape walling, glazing, etc.
• Ability to perform reasonable levels of technical and financial computations.
• Ability to prepare work estimates by collecting questions, proposals, studying building drawings, requirements, and other relevant documents.
• Exceptional IT and numeracy abilities.
• Familiarity with tender requirements and drawings.
