Job summary

James Cubitt MENA is seeking an experienced Architect to join our Abu Dhabi Architectural Design Team. The role focuses on design development, BIM modeling with Revit, and coordination with structural/MEP disciplines to deliver high-rise and mixed-use projects in the UAE.

You will lead design development from concept through construction documents, ensuring compliance with UAE codes and authority approvals, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with clients and engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in architectural design.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Mandatory proficiency in Revit Architecture and strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in high-rise, mixed-use, and large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and authority approval processes.
• Must be currently based in the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to architectural design development from concept through construction documentation.
• Develop architectural layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Prepare and manage BIM models using Revit Architecture.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, codes, and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines for integrated designs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submissions for accuracy.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and coordination workshops.
• Provide technical guidance to junior architects and design team members.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout design.
• Identify design conflicts and propose effective solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages while maintaining quality and standards.

We are seeking accomplished architectural professionals with strong design capabilities, technical expertise, and proven experience in delivering complex architectural projects. Candidates with previous experience in well-established engineering consultancy firms in the UAE will be preferred.
