Job description

• Develop creative and functional design solutions that meet client needs and comply with local regulations and codes.
• Prepare and present design proposals, including 3D renderings, mood boards, and material samples.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget constraints.
• Conduct site visits and client meetings to discuss design options and progress.
• Provide expert advice on space planning, material selection, and interior finishes.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ensure all designs and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with structural engineers to integrate their input into the design with subcontractors.
• Oversee and manage the design phase of fit-out projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure design intent is realized on-site.
• Address and resolve any design-related issues that arise during construction.
• Complete the tasks with assigned deadlines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups.
• Work collaboratively with other architects, designers, and support staff to foster a creative and productive work environment and attend meetings when required.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and continuous professional development activities.
• Keep abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and materials to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
• Ensure thorough understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements specific to the project location.
• Assist in the acquisition of necessary permits and ensure designs comply with local regulations and codes.
• Identify potential design-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Address any design or project-related issues proactively to avoid delays and cost overruns.
• Implement digital solutions for project documentation, communication, and collaboration.

Desired Candidate Profile

• BSc. degree in Architecture or related field.
• Proven minimum 3 working experience as an Architect
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards in UAE
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (3ds Max, Revit, SketchUp or similar)
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Visual awareness and an eye for detail
• Communication and project management skills
