Architect

Job Summary:

The Architect has a pivotal role in designing and executing innovative architectural projects. This role demands a blend of creative vision and technical proficiency, ensuring the development of sustainable, efficient, and aesthetically compelling architectural solutions for a range of projects, including commercial, residential, and public sector works.

The Architect will lead the creative and technical development of architectural initiatives, balancing visionary design thinking with detailed execution. The position is responsible for ensuring that all architectural outputs align with client goals, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability standards. The Architect will also play a strategic role in mentoring junior team members, contributing to design innovation, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact, future-ready projects across diverse geographies.

Accountability:

Design Leadership

• Lead architectural design from concept through construction documentation and completion.
• Translate client briefs into innovative, functional, and sustainable architectural designs.
• Develop detailed drawings, 3D models, and visual presentations using BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant tools.

Collaboration & Integration

• Coordinate with cross-functional project teams including engineers, interior designers, and project managers.
• Integrate architectural systems with structural, MEP, and landscape elements for holistic project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet legal, regulatory, environmental, and accessibility standards.

Project Oversight

• Guide design reviews and manage client approvals at various project milestones.
• Supervise junior architects and draftsmen, ensuring delivery to design intent and technical accuracy.
• Monitor design progress, resolve design-related issues, and maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Innovation & Sustainability

• Embed environmental performance goals into architectural solutions.
• Stay abreast of evolving architectural technologies, sustainability tools, and design innovations.
• Propose design improvements and process optimisations that support Cairn's vision for future-ready architecture.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Advance expertise in the principles and practices of architectural design.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp).

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in architectural design management with significant exposure to diverse building types.
