Job summary

Allocation Assist in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Consultant Child Psychiatrist who is an Arabic speaker to join our pediatric mental health team. The role covers comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral conditions.

The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team, engage families, and provide evidence-based interventions, medication management, and crisis response. Arabic proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship/board in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent.
• Eligibility for Consultant licensure with DoH Abu Dhabi.
• Current professional registration in relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of mental health conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide medication management and monitor response.
• Coordinate psychological, behavioral, and psychosocial interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage families.
• Assess and manage clinical risk and safeguarding concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate escalation when needed.
• Document diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis clearly.
• Participate in teaching, supervision, and professional development.
