This role falls under our Fish Farm Umbrella and we are seeking to hire Aquaculture Technician who will perform a variety of routine semi-skilled tasks under limited supervision as assigned in connection with culture of marine fin fish species at Fish Farm LLC, including propagation and liberation of marine fishes, and maintenance of the hatchery equipment, RAS, buildings and grounds.

Please note - This role is mainly operations focused and is based in Umm Al Quwain

Responsibilities
  • Perform siphoning of tanks and raceways to remove waste and maintain water quality.
  • Execute daily feeding schedules based on fish species, growth stage, and feeding protocols. Handle fish transportation tasks safely, including netting, grading, counting, and transferring between tanks or to harvest.
  • Monitor fish behavior and report any abnormalities (e.g., mortality, disease, poor feeding response).
  • Assist with biosecurity measures including disinfection, PPE usage, and quarantine protocols.
  • Record data on feeding, fish health, tank conditions, and stock movement accurately.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Support general farm operations such as water quality checks, tank preparation, and maintenance.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferred Educational Qualifications And Professional Certifications: High school diploma or technical certificate in aquaculture, agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in aquaculture farming operations.
  • Proven experience in siphoning, feeding, and fish transport or handling.
  • Ability to work in a wet, outdoor, or humid environment, including weekends and shifts.
  • Basic understanding of fish health, behavior, and water quality parameters.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving fish handling equipment or feed sacks.
