As part of this role, the candidate will support both the authority approval process and project coordination activities across all phases of interior fit-out projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaison with Authorities: Communicate and coordinate with local building authorities such as Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees, Concordia, and all building and community management companies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for fit-out projects.
- Review Design Plans: Review architectural and MEP drawings to identify non-compliance issues and ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards.
- Code Compliance: Ensure interior fit-out projects meet safety and environmental standards as per building codes and regulations.
- Inspections and Reports: Conduct site inspections at various stages to verify compliance and submit detailed reports.
- Problem Resolution: Address issues related to building codes or regulations and collaborate with the project team for solutions.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of approvals, permits, inspection reports, and relevant documents, renewing them as needed.
- Technical Expertise: Provide guidance to architects, designers, and subcontractors on regulations and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, suggesting process improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly updates and progress reports on authority submissions, approvals, and inspections.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate communication among clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth workflow.
- Project Planning Support: Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress.
- Document Management: Maintain records of drawings, submittals, inspection requests, and reports.
- Permit Processing: Support in preparing and submitting safety inductions, work permits, access cards, and related documentation.
- Meeting Support: Participate in weekly project meetings and update project trackers and reports.
- Handover Preparation: Prepare operations manuals, final handover documents, and pre-opening submissions.
- Documentation Control: Archive and distribute project files in both digital and hard formats.
- Procurement Coordination: Assist in evaluating and finalizing subcontractors aligned with project needs.
- Reporting: Submit weekly project status reports highlighting progress and risks.
