Job summary

Brain Co. is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer, Applied AI to build agent-native operating systems for regulated institutions. You will push real workflows from prototype to production, tackling complex, multimodal data and institutional constraints.

You will work on end-to-end ML systems, combining vision models, segmentation, and rule-based components to deliver robust decision systems in production environments within industries like insurance and health.

Qualifications

• Understanding how machine learning works beyond tooling.
• Experience with end-to-end ML systems in production environments.
• Ability to work with frontier AI models and complex data.

Responsibilities

• Turn ambiguity into shipped ML systems in production.
• Own AI systems end-to-end with no handoffs.
• Work at the research frontier with production stakes (LLMs, RL fine-tuning).
• Collaborate with institutions to understand decision-making and improve workflows.
• Engineer for production reality: accuracy, latency, cost, reliability.
