Job description

Job Purpose

The “Applications Delivery and Support Leader- Plant Support” is crucial in ensuring the seamless delivery and ongoing support of enterprise applications within the Business Technology Solutions Portfolio. This role is essential for optimizing application performance, enhancing user satisfaction, and managing the lifecycle of applications effectively. Key responsibilities include overseeing application delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and managing support operations to maintain high availability and performance. The leader will act as a strategic advisor, adeptly managing resources and processes to meet business needs within allocated budgets and timelines, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence.

Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability

  1. Application Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of enterprise applications, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  2. Support Operations Oversight: Manage the support and maintenance of applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
  3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of application delivery and support.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  5. Market and Technology Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to advise on application strategy and improvements.
  6. Vendor Relationships: Manage vendor relationships to ensure effective collaboration and successful portfolio deliverables.
  7. Resource and Process Optimization: Optimize the use of resources and processes to enhance application performance and support operations.
  8. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of application delivery projects to ensure they meet business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
  9. SLA Monitoring: Oversee the adherence to Service Level Agreements by continuously tracking performance, addressing deviations promptly, and driving continuous improvement to meet business objectives.
  10. Application Utilization: Ensure optimal use of applications by monitoring usage patterns, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a field closely related to these subjects is required. This gives the job holder an in-depth understanding of database design and the protection of computer networks.

Experience

  • Familiarity with company structure and operations outside of IT.
  • A master's degree in business administration can be an asset, alongside having significant years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
