We have an urgent requirement for Application Support Specialist - ERP SAP (Level 1) for our banking client in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our SAP ERP support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Level 1 support for SAP ERP applications, ensuring timely resolution of user issues, and collaborating with technical teams to resolve complex problems.

  • Incident Management: Receive and log incident tickets from users, and provide initial assessment and troubleshooting.
  • Level 1 Support: Provide first-line support for SAP ERP applications, resolving simple issues and escalating complex issues to Level 2/3 support teams.
  • Knowledge Base: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the knowledge base, documenting solutions to common issues.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Level 2/3 support teams, development teams, and other stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
  • Problem Management: Participate in problem management activities, identifying root causes and proposing solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reporting on support metrics, including incident volume, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in SAP ERP support, or similar experience in IT support.
  • Technical Skills:
  • SAP ERP (any module, e.g., MM, SD, FI/CO)
  • SAP GUI, SAP Fiori, and SAP WebClient UI
  • Basic understanding of SAP architecture and integration

Nice To Have

  • Experience as a service desk technician.
  • Proper IT problem-solving skills, analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving operating incidents.
  • Managing physical assets with proper inventory recording.
  • Providing hardware repair services and following up on repairs.
  • Ensuring application consistency on customer PCs.
