Job description

Primary Responsibilities

1. Installation / Setup: Installation of Application servers (IBM WebSphere Application Server / Redhat JBOSS EAP / IBM HTTP Server / Redhat JBOSS Webservers), IBM MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise.
2. Configuring Servers: Application servers Cluster setups, creating and configuring resources.
3. Maintenance Activities: IBM WAS / JBOSS EAP / IBM MQ / IBM ACE Patching with latest fix packs or Interim fixes or update patches.
4. Deployments: Deploying EAR / WAR / JAR files in Application servers and modifying resources in Application EARs after deployments.
5. Troubleshooting and Analyzing: Strong troubleshooting and analysis capabilities to fix issues reported in Prod / Test systems.
6. Documentation: Creating installation documents, product-related documents, and SOP documents.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Working with cross-technical teams, including application support teams, subject matter experts, and IT professionals, to ensure successful implementation. Communicating effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
8. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Staying updated on latest versions of application servers, messaging servers, tools, and best practices. Seeking opportunities to enhance skills and automate processes.
9. Compliance and Security: Ensuring application servers are implemented following security guidelines and are compliant with license entitlements.
10. Support and Training: Providing support, troubleshooting, answering questions, and delivering training to promote user proficiency.

Experience

1. 5 years of relevant Application Server Administration experience, preferably with 3 years in the banking industry.
2. Strong Shell / Bash scripting skills.
3. Preferred: Operating Systems skills (AIX, Linux, Windows).
4. Certified IBM Application Server Administrator.
5. Experience in Application server maintenance activities.
6. Understanding and experience with Change Management procedures.
7. Experience working on critical banking systems like Core Banking / Digital Banking.
8. Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet timelines.
