The Applications Engineer ensures Baker Hughes can deliver flawless execution through involvement in pre-planning, job execution, and post-job analysis. This role involves delivering technical job programs or application designs that align with contract objectives. The engineer collaborates with Service Delivery Coordinators and other teams to ensure all application aspects are understood and considered.

As an Application Engineer - Bottle Tester, your responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Job Cycle (MtJC) process for compliance
  • Understanding client production objectives and contractual terms with the sales team
  • Performing engineering calculations to assess hazards and incident potential
  • Collaborating with disciplines to consider all application constraints
  • Designing job programs with risk mitigation and contingency plans
  • Communicating risks to clients effectively
  • Documenting calculations, simulations, and revisions for transparency
  • Providing on-demand support during job execution
  • Monitoring and improving job procedures based on lessons learned
  • Handling field incidents and participating in investigations
  • Ensuring timely incident management for customer satisfaction
  • Advising on product improvements and supporting sales with application recommendations
  • Managing product line responsibilities and special projects as needed

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Have at least 10 years of experience in oil and gas production chemicals
  • Exhibit strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, and planning skills
  • Be available for on-call duties outside normal hours
  • Be capable of working in a global matrix organization
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Be willing and able to travel as required
