About the Role
To provide contractual technical service and assist customers with problem solving support regarding METICHEM products, applications and solutions for assigned customer accounts. Ensure implementation of the METICHEM Service Standards at all client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in design reviews, new application start‐ups and evaluations.
- Assist in critiquing products for serviceability, performance and reliability.
- Advise clients regarding the possibility of upgrading and improvements METICHEM can provide
- Plans and carries out service responsibilities within assigned customers.
- Delivers service in line with Application Quality Plan in assigned accounts.
- Applies the METICHEM Service Standards in striving to improve their quality and document value provided to the customer.
- Visits customer facilities and implements practical application of products.
- Discusses and advises clients regarding results obtained from sampling.
- Establishes and meets customer needs when adjusting the treatment program as well as ensuring the satisfactory performance of the plant.
- Assists in the preparation of reports detailing technical problems and solutions to initiate necessary corrective product modifications and/or recommended process changes.
- Document value provided to the customer whenever possible.
- Recommends changes in chemical dosages, flow rates, or equipment.
- Supervise chemical cleaning and disinfecting operations.
- Carries out on site chemicals inventory.
- Ensure P.O as necessary is submitted by clients and that deliveries are prompt.
- Ensures all standard equipment and reagents for the laboratory and field analysis work are properly maintained
- Prepares site/ field analysis reports and maintains records of all tests.
- Coordinate with sales engineers on their respective clients and sales.
- Works collaboratively with other team personnel toward continuous improvement of policies and procedures resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
- Fully uses Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in line with METICHEM policy.
- Seek to keep abreast of the latest industry advances and helps to educate sales engineers and customers as agreed.
- Responsible for reading and complying with METICHEM policies and procedures regarding QHSSE, Product Stewardship and all applicable local safety regulations.
- Maintain, implement, and improve the BU QHSSE Management System in line with Corporate QHSSE Policies, Objectives, Manuals and Procedures, integration with business operations and ISO Standard requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
Qualifications & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the Basic Water Treatment Chemistry, Wastewater, Cooling Water, Boiler Water
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
