Application Server Engineer - Connected Car Service Backend

Job Summary

As a Technical Engineer, you will be part of our Automotive Connected Car Technology Operations. Your role involves supporting Hyundai/KIA/Genesis connectivity divisions by developing and maintaining car connectivity systems from application to infrastructure, aligned with customer business objectives. Success requires a strong understanding of car connectivity applications and cloud infrastructure architecture.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Operate and enhance connected car service applications.
2. Lead support and operations of connected car service systems.
3. Manage problems and implement operational improvements.
4. Collaborate with business teams to address support needs, gather requirements, and improve processes.
5. Implement and maintain technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of development or technical support experience.
• Understanding of automotive infrastructure; familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• At least 3+ years supporting applications across platform stacks (SQL, Java/.NET/C#/Perl/Python) or SaaS.
• Knowledge of XML/SOAP, web services, and web application development.
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques.
• Required: Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Preferred: Intermediate Korean and Arabic skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of automotive business processes.
• IT project management experience.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse business units and manage conflicting requirements.
• Experience in Infotainment/IoT domains.

Working Conditions

• Expected Start Date: 1 Mar 2025 (negotiable)
• Salary: Based on experience and skills.
• Contract: Permanent with 6-month probation.
• Hours: Over 40 hours/week.
• Annual Leave: 22 days.
• Severance: As per UAE law.
