Job summary

A financial technology company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Developer with expertise in SOA and API development. The role requires a minimum of 5-7 years in SOA development and at least 2 years in the Banking sector. Candidates must have strong skills in IBM API Connect, SOA methodologies, and various integration tools. This is a contract position for 6 months.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in SOA development, with 2-4 years in Banking.
• Must have certification in IIB v10 & MQ v9.1.
• Hands-on experience with API Connect and DataPower.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Monitor API performance and create documentation.
• Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, and meet standards.

Overview

ROLE PURPOSE:

1. Must have experience of Banking, SOA Delivery methodology, SOA Center of excellence and implementation of SOA best practices
2. Knowledge of Banking Service standards such as ISO8583, IFX, Open Bank Project, ISO20022 and SWIFT.
3. Core Service design experience that covers the following :
4. Design, develop, and implement APIs using IBM API Connect.
5. Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, and meet performance standards.
6. Proficiency in building RESTful services, XML/JSON using IBM API Connect.
7. Have worked on API Securities like OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect.
8. Manage the full API lifecycle, including creation, deployment, and versioning.
9. Monitor and analyze API performance and usage.
10. Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation.
11. Provide support and troubleshooting for API-related issues.
12. Also worked on IBM Datapower and have strong knowledge on developing services.
13. Experience with Rest APIs
