Job description

API Connect Developer:

1. Must have experience in Banking SOA Delivery methodology, SOA Center of Excellence, and implementation of SOA best practices.
2. Knowledge of Banking Service standards such as ISO8583, IFX, Open Bank Project, ISO20022, and SWIFT.
3. Core Service design experience covering:

• Design, development, and implementation of APIs using IBM API Connect.
• Ensuring APIs are scalable, secure, and meet performance standards.
• Proficiency in building RESTful services with XML/JSON using IBM API Connect.
• Experience with API security protocols like OAuth, JWT, OpenID Connect.
• Managing the full API lifecycle including creation, deployment, and versioning.
• Monitoring and analyzing API performance and usage.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive API documentation.
• Providing support and troubleshooting for API-related issues.
• Experience with IBM DataPower and developing services on it.
• Experience with REST APIs and Web Services.

Responsible for implementing and delivering technical services for Multi-Tier & SOA Architecture.

Contributed to strategy development for SOA implementation based on Service Analysis.

Preparation of technical design documents for multiple projects.

Involvement in inception and strengthening of SOA practices.

Hands-on development experience in IBM DataPower and API Connect development & administration.

Understanding of ADIB business requirements.

Preparation of IARs and related documentation for project approvals.

Supporting UAT activities, including documentation and approvals.

Tracking, resolving, and reporting incidents and known errors.

Following standards set by management in service delivery.

Post-go-live support including 3rd level support for SOA solutions, ensuring data ingestion & processing, troubleshooting, and SLA adherence.

Ownership and maintenance of documented processes and procedures, informing document owners of necessary updates.
