Rapyd is hiring an API Automation Engineer to ensure the quality of our global fintech platform's core APIs. You'll own the full API test automation lifecycle, from design to analysis, within our Agile environment.

As an API Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Design, develop, and maintain API test automation frameworks.
2. Automate functional, integration, performance, reliability, and contract API tests.
3. Develop and execute Python-based test scripts.
4. Integrate API tests into CI/CD pipelines.
5. Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate on resolutions.
6. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality strategies.
7. Take ownership of API quality and drive continuous improvement.
8. Maintain and enhance automation scripts and documentation.
9. Stay current with API testing best practices and tools.
10. Troubleshoot and analyze API failures using tools like ElasticSearch and Kibana.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of QA experience with expertise in manual and automation testing.
• Strong API testing skills, including Postman proficiency.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Proficiency in a programming language. Python or JavaScript is preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex API issues.
• Excellent English (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to API quality.
• Proactive, self-motivated learner with high ownership.
• Experience managing cross-dependency testing with other release trains.
• Solid understanding of micro-service architecture testing.
• Financial industry experience is a plus.
