Job summary

Yokogawa in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced APC engineer to drive Advanced Process Control initiatives across refinery, petrochemical and polymer units. You will define architectures, implement APC/MVC projects end-to-end, and commission control systems on site, ensuring high uptime. Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering; master's preferable.
• Identify APC opportunities and specify hardware/software architecture.
• Implement APC and MVC from definition to commissioning.
• Commission APC controllers in Refining, Petrochemical and Polymer units.
• Provide maintenance support and APC training to plant operators & engineers.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement APC & MVC from control definition to SAT, commissioning and post audit.
• Commission APC controllers in Refining, Petrochemical and Polymer units.
• Provide maintenance support and modify control strategies for higher APC uptime.

• Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills.

Job responsibility

• 1. Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. Masters degree is preferable.
• 2. Ability to identify the potential areas and benefits for applying Advanced Process Control for various process units and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out APC implementation.
• 3. To implement APC & MVC implementations starting from Control Definition Functional Design Specifications Plant Testing Detailed Engineering Modeling of Controller and Estimator Site Integration SAT Commissioning Post Audit and PGTR.
• 4. Responsible for commissioning APC Controllers in Refining Petrochemical and Polymer process units.
• 5. Provide maintenance support including carrying out modifications to the Control strategies to ensure higher APC up time and carry out the required APC training to plant operators & engineers.
• 6. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
