Job summary

Yokogawa in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior IC to perform detailed system and application software engineering configuration for control systems and HMI per project requirements. You will design, assemble and test software and work within a cross-functional team to deliver on customer specifications.

The role requires a degree in Instrumentation or Electronics and at least five years of experience in control systems and application software, with strong collaboration and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, specifically Instrumentation or Electronics.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Control System including Application Software.
• Experience with system design, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and standards.
• Review procedures and product specs; report to Project Manager.
• Design, assemble and test control system software per customer requirements.
• Prepare BOMs for various systems; coordinate with customer engineers.
• Prepare POs for project materials; support project engineers as needed.
• Coordinate with lead engineers for technical interfaces and with QC for testing.

Job Purpose

To perform detailed System and Application Software engineering configuration having skills and experience in generating plant operating sequences. Design assembly and testing team of various Control Systems and Human Machine Interface as per the Project requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Reviewing the Project technical specification requirements and Standards.
• Review of work procedures and product specifications.
• Reporting to the Project Manager on day to day activities.
• Performing detailed System and Application Software engineering design assembly and testing of the control system as per the Customer requirements.
• Preparation of Bill of Material for various Systems.
• Coordination with Customer Engineers for technical issues.
• Preparation of Purchase Order for various Projects Materials.
• Supporting Project Engineer as and when required for technical issues.
• Coordination with Lead Project Engineer for technical interface.
• Coordination with Document Controller for Control of Project documentation and QC Engineer for Inspection and Testing related activities.
• Adhering to the Project Schedule & Project Quality Plan.
• Participating site acceptance test commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualification and Experience

• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering Field. Specifically in Instrumentation or Electronics.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the field of Control System including Application Software.

Competencies

• Familiar with System Engineering Design standards analysis and techniques.
• Application Software debugging and trouble shooting.

Skills

• Knowledge of IT basics and Microsoft Applications.
• Project Report writing and Good Presentation skills.
• System Design Engineering Software Packages and related Software.
• The candidate should have experience in generating plant operating sequences well test automation sequences using OPSFCs.
• Should have knowledge on well automation including ESP automation in DCS
• Having experience in Single push button Start of entire plant production will be an added advantage.
