Overview
At Dubai American Academy you will teach AP English to high‑school students, fostering analytical writing and reading comprehension while promoting a lifelong love of language and literature.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive AP English lessons aligned with the school curriculum standards
- Develop lesson plans and teaching strategies that strengthen reading, writing, and critical thinking skills
- Inspire students to develop confidence in language, literature, and academic expression
- Differentiated instruction to support students with diverse learning needs and abilities
- Monitor student progress through assessments, coursework, and classroom participation
- Maintain continuity in curriculum delivery and ensure strong academic outcomes

Ideal Profile
- Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification in English
- Proven experience teaching high‑school English, preferably within an American or IB curriculum school
- Strong understanding of inquiry‑based learning and student‑centered teaching approaches
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
