Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Anesthesiologist to provide safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures. Based in the UAE, this role is essential to perioperative patient management and supports multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures

Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort

Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and nurses to develop anesthesia care plans

Manage pain relief during labor, post-operative recovery, and critical care situations

Respond to anesthetic emergencies and complications promptly

Maintain accurate records of anesthetic procedures, medications, and patient status

Ensure proper function and maintenance of anesthesia equipment

Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards, including DHA/MOH/DOH protocols

Participate in training, audits, and continuous medical education (CME) activities

Contribute to clinical governance and patient safety initiatives

Requirements

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Anesthesiology

Board certification (e.g., Arab Board, FRCA, American Board, or equivalent)

Valid UAE license

Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or surgical center

Proficiency in managing anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, and critical care

Excellent decision-making, communication, and patient assessment skills

Strong ethical standards and ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments

Fluency in English required; Arabic is an advantage
