As Analytics & Insights Specialist, support the delivery of analysis and insights use cases for a diverse range of departments and business stakeholders. Work closely to support the Analytics and Insights Manager to develop information driven solutions that help business leaders understand their data and how it can be used to identify opportunities and solve complex business problems. The Analytics and Insights Specialist uses a variety of business and technical skills to deliver bespoke information products rapidly that ensures data and information provide valuable context that underpins each decision. This role also provides technical subject matter expertise within their domain to design solutions that are reliable, scalable and empower business to access the data they need, when they need it most.
In this role, you will:
- Support the Analytics and Insights manager in the delivery of complex insights use cases in a manner which is accepted by business stakeholders, through compelling visualisation and narratives incorporating analytical insight into actionable business narratives.
- Leverage relevant frameworks that capture relevant data models and business logic whilst ensuring a systematic approach to deliver projects of high value in a timely manner leveraging self-service capabilities where possible.
- Support the Analytics and Insights manager in assisting various stakeholders to define relevant metrics and KPI?s and designing action orientated reports.
- Based on past insights engagements support business users on ad hoc analytics questions, best practice use of tools analytical tools, such as Power BI and Snowflake.
- Support the Analytics and Insights manager, partnering with relevant business units identifying performance, causal analysis, data gaps, and provide recommendations.
- Support the Analytics and Insights manager in transitioning meaningful insights to the relevant business unit power users via training and coaching and/or productionising analysis via Enterprise Data and Analytics (ED&A) large solutions. Ensuring the business is enabled with self-service and to maintain the on-going analysis.
- Conduct in-depth analysis, utilising relevant statistical methods to provide actionable insights based on business hypothesis.
- Dependant on the insights use case, support the Analytics and Insights Manager to technically retrieve and query data from relevant source system if not already ingested and available in the enterprise data platform
- Based on Insights use case, complete relevant documentation including business logic, transformations, and semantic definition to ensure smooth transition to business handover or productionising insights use case to ED&A large solutions.

Qualification
To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirement:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience in Information Technology/Other.
- Degree in a Business or Information Technology field from an internationally recognised university.
- Experience in working with and having an understanding of Data & Analytics tools and platforms including Data Warehouses data lakes and visualisation toolsets.
- Experience and knowledge in one or more of the following business domains such as: customer, commercial, operations, Finance, Human Resources etc.
- Experience in using analytics tools and technologies (e.g. SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Looker?).
- Experience of delivering end to end analysis of a business problem from data extraction, modelling to dashboard creation and monitoring over time.
- Experience of Power BI/MicroStrategy or other visualisation tool set is a must.
Knowledge/skills:
- Strong analytics and business intelligence skills
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the business, including external parties.
- Knowledge of BI applications and design principles
- Knowledge of data and KPIs commonly used in airline industry, particularly as they relate to the commercial application of this information.
