Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or closely related discipline.
• Experience operating and maintaining HPLC and at least one mass‑spectrometry platform (GC‑MS or LC‑MS).
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, chemical management, quality‑control procedures, and good laboratory practices.
• Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and provide technical support for HPLC/UHPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and related instruments; assist with sample preparation, instrument setup, method implementation, analysis, and data processing.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, instrument-use protocols, checklists, logbooks, and maintenance records; perform calibration and system‑suitability testing.
• Train users and support undergraduate and postgraduate practical sessions; ensure safety and proper disposal of chemicals and waste.
• Maintain inventory of columns, gases, solvents, standards, consumables, and spare parts; coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with suppliers.
