An established industry player is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical guidance on a variety of electrical systems. In this role, you will plan and develop projects for high and low voltage distribution, ensuring the maintainability and repairability of completed projects. You'll collaborate with various teams to prioritize sustainment projects and conduct root cause analyses. The AMP Utilities Electrical Engineer will provide technical guidance on all electrical systems, including interior electric, exterior electric, fire alarm systems, electric distribution, alternative power systems, panels, and associated real property motors.
The Contractor shall plan and develop projects for high and low voltage distribution, airfield lighting, fire alarms, and interior and exterior low voltage applications. The Contractor will collaborate with sub-AMP managers assigned to their areas of responsibility. They must familiarize themselves with BUILDER (or other functional management SMS GeoBase) status in conjunction with real property accounting listings. Decisions should be smart, fiscally-minded, logical, and sustainment-oriented, utilizing the “preventive maintenance - corrective maintenance – repair maintenance - replacement bell-curve” principle. Use BUILDER data to forecast and project future projects. Work between the shops, R&O, and Engineering Flight to prioritize sustainment projects based on MDI, PoF, and Critical Component Effective Equipment. Conduct root cause analysis of failing systems to accurately determine project scope. The Utilities AMP manager shall coordinate and host a quarterly Sub-AMP Working Group, following The Activity Management Process Operating Instruction. Before the start of PoP, the Utilities AMP Manager shall complete all necessary training to serve as a Data Manager for the Air Force SMS, currently BUILDER. Perform Quality Assurance on all data entries by 380 ECES personnel to ensure accuracy. Complete design reviews for electrical projects from the Operations Flight perspective to ensure maintainability and repairability of completed projects.
The Utilities AMP Manager must be an electrical engineer.
The AMP EE shall have knowledge of engineering principles, planning, project programming, and the ability to interpret plans and drawings. They must also be well-versed in electrical distribution systems.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to individuals with experience on US Government and Military domestic and international projects.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2016 or newer, with the ability to create presentable and accurate facility and infrastructure plans for project execution.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.
Additional knowledge or skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
