Job description

IIQAF is looking for a reliable and compassionate Ambulance Driver to join our team at our renowned institution for quality assurance and facility management. As an Ambulance Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently to and from medical facilities, emergencies, and other locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ambulance equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
• Transport patients to and from medical facilities and emergencies in a timely and safe manner
• Assess patients conditions and provide necessary care during transportation
• Follow traffic rules and drive defensively to avoid accidents
• Coordinate with medical personnel and emergency response teams to ensure efficient and timely transport of patients
• Keep records of patient information, treatments provided, and other relevant data
• Regularly maintain and clean ambulance vehicles
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including properly disinfecting the ambulance after each use
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or supply needs to the appropriate department
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with industry standards and protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver s license and clean driving record
• Certification in Emergency Medical Training (EMT) or Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ambulance driver or similar role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry patients when necessary
• Willingness to work in shifts and weekends as needed
