A leading company in the oil and gas sector is seeking a skilled engineer to design and implement algorithms for product deployment and optimization. The role involves collaborating in a team to enhance digital oilfield practices, requiring a strong background in petroleum engineering and software development. Ideal candidates will possess analytical skills and experience with artificial lift systems, contributing to innovative solutions in field development.
- Design and implement scalable algorithms in a team environment.
- Define specifications for productization and deployment.
- Calibrate existing algorithms for various hardware configurations and applications.
- Self-identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within product software.
- Conduct independent analysis based on digital oilfield practices for field development planning and production optimization.
- Design and execute data acquisition programs (PVT, SCAL).
- Effectively communicate complex analytical concepts and insights to audiences with varying expertise and leadership levels.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and business awareness.
- Background in petroleum engineering with experience on Electrical Submersible Pumps.
- Experience with software development and product ownership is valued.
- Experience in artificial lift design, diagnosis, and optimization for ESPs, SRPs.
- Knowledge of machine learning, data analytics, deep learning, system modeling, and control systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with commercial well testing and nodal analysis software.
- Proficiency in Excel VBA; programming experience in other languages is advantageous.
