Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Dubai is seeking a Design & Interface Manager for aviation projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design packages, manage consultants, and ensure interfaces between packages meet project requirements across terminal, airside, landside facilities and utilities.

The role focuses on risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement and governance of interface management, with experience in major airport developments and collaboration with operators and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Professional registration or chartership is advantageous.
• Experience with airport terminals, airside and landside infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and integration of multidisciplinary design packages across architecture, civil, structural, MEP and aviation systems.
• Ensure design deliverables align with scope, specifications, budget, schedule and client requirements.
• Manage design consultants and technical specialists through all project phases.
• Review progress against milestones and program requirements.
• Develop and maintain the project’s Interface Management Plan.
• Identify, track and manage internal and external interfaces between packages and stakeholders.
• Establish interface registers, agreements and governance processes.
• Lead interface meetings and workshops across multiple workstreams.
• Resolve interface conflicts and coordinate technical resolutions among teams.
• Serve as primary focal point for interface coordination with clients, operators, authorities, consultants, contractors, and utilities.
• Prepare interface status reports, dashboards and executive summaries.
• Report interface risks, progress, critical issues and mitigations to senior management.
