Job Description

Job Purpose

At the forefront of Emirates Engineering, the Line Maintenance section plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our aircraft. This dynamic area manages both Line Maintenance and Aircraft Cabin Maintenance (ACM), working continuously with essential operational teams such as Flight Operations and Network Control. Our mission is to deliver efficient and reliable services that meet the demands of a busy commercial flight schedule.

Responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The Aircraft Technician works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of the assigned Licensed Aircraft Engineer within the appropriate trade/cross-trade disciplines for which they have been trained.

In This Role, You Will

  • Carry out routine aircraft/engine/component servicing/maintenance and/or approved structural repairs compliant with manufacturers' procedures while observing all safety procedures for fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, aircraft systems charging/servicing as required.
  • Complete component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by immediate Supervisor, including understanding and using Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), or other approved documentation.
  • Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications while performing instructions contained in job cards.
  • Participate in creating a safety culture to minimize accidents and report deficiencies or failures that could lead to accidents. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping, communicating safety shortfalls as necessary.
  • Maintain vigilance to ensure work areas, vehicles, stands, lockers are free of FOD, and toolboxes are regularly audited and kept clean.
  • Maintain knowledge of airport safety regulations, including holding and maintaining an Airport Driving Permit, and comply with airport maneuvering area requirements.
  • Manage performance by working closely with supervisors on development plans, including training and development requirements via the MyBC system.
  • Ensure prompt attendance to all tasks to maximize ground time and avoid delays. This includes obtaining aircraft/component status briefs from LAE and preparing work accordingly.
  • Report aircraft, component, or structural defects to the LAE and communicate relevant information during shift handovers.
  • Use current knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance to assist in resource allocation using RMS/RTC when required.

  • Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved aircraft maintenance organization, or an Engineering Aircraft Maintenance License.
