Job description

Maintenance Technician • United Arab Emirates

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out routine and unscheduled maintenance on cabin IFE connectivity and passenger systems to ensure full functionality and safety, following manufacturer procedures.
  2. Perform component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the supervisor, utilizing Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), or other approved documentation.
  3. Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectification, and modifications, including following instructions on job cards.
  4. Promote a safety culture by identifying and reporting safety deficiencies and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping at work locations, including ramp areas, lockers, and toolboxes.
  6. Ensure compliance with airport safety regulations, hold and maintain an Airport Driving Permit, and be familiar with airport maneuvering area requirements.
  7. Manage performance and development in coordination with the supervisor, including training needs, using the MyBC system.
  8. Attend promptly to scheduled tasks to maximize ground time and prevent operational delays, including communicating aircraft component status and defects to the LAE.
  9. Utilize current knowledge and experience to assist in resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduate with 12+2 apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent training from a reputable airline or approved maintenance organization, or hold an Aircraft Maintenance License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship paid experience in aircraft maintenance.
