- Follow instructions from Operation Manager and internal processes / procedures
- Read and understand manufacturer maintenance documentation
- Perform self-reliant inspection, removal and application of paint systems
- Take technical decisions and actions to ensure economic and on time performance of maintenance / painting tasks
- Ensure quality standard, health and safety in the shop
- Support quality department for audit preparation and execution
- Perform daily housekeeping
- Continuous improvement of skills and work procedures
- Always maintain confidentiality in relation to company issues
The ideal Aircraft Paint Technician should meet the following requirements :
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft or automotive painting
- Fundamental knowledge in human factors and aviation legislation
- Good knowledge of English language required to read and understand rules, instructions, manuals
- Experience in : mechanical and chemical paint stripping, operation of painting booth preparation of surfaces before painting application of complex painting schemes and liveries via HVLP application of decals and stencils in accordance with customer specifications mixing top coatings and primers nacelle components and flight controls repairs preferable
- Maintain clean and orderly work area as well as tools and equipment used in the painting process
- High sense of responsibility
- Computer knowledge required for access rules, instructions, manuals
- Ability to work : independently and to take responsibility in a team and contribute to ensure progress is made on repair events under pressure
- Willing to : extend knowledge and experience attend classroom and hand-on trainings work flexible working hours and shifts
