Job summary

Emirates Airlines invites UAE nationals to apply for the AMEL Scholarship at the Emirates Engineering Training College in Dubai. The fully sponsored, five-year programme includes two phases: Initial Training (3 years) with a GCAA certificate and higher diplomas, then Practical Maintenance Experience (2 years) leading to AMEL licence eligibility and a full Aircraft Technician role.

Phase 1 offers a monthly salary of AED 8,665 plus concessions and medical coverage; Phase 2 progresses to AED

Qualifications

• Age 18 to 24.
• Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80%.
• Have completed National Service before joining the program.
• Be medically fit.
• Hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid.
• English proficiency: TOEFL/IELTS as specified.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical maintenance experience on live aircraft during PME.
• Progress to qualify for the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) and become an Aircraft Technician.

Job Purpose

Programme Details

Our AMEL programme is fully sponsored and has an approximate duration of five years, consisting of two phases:

Phase 1

Initial Training - 3 years

You will go through intensive theoretical and practical training. Upon successful completion, you will receive a GCAA certificate from the Emirates Engineering Training College, a Higher Diploma from Emirates Aviation University, attested by Ministry of Higher Education and a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering issued by NQC - MOHESR.

Phase 2

Practical Maintenance Experience (PME) - 2 years

In this phase, you will gain practical maintenance experience working on live aircraft. Upon completing this phase, you will qualify to apply to GCAA for the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) and you will become a full-fledged Aircraft Technician.

During this period, your monthly salary will progress to:

• 1st year AED 21,659
• 2nd year AED 22,659
• Upon successful completion, AED 23,697

Qualification

• Fall within the age range of 18 to 24.
• Have successfully completed Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80%.
• Have completed the National Service before joining the program. You can start the selection process after completing high school.
• Be medically fit.
• Hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid. English Fluency You are expected to provide (post-assessment) TOEFL PBT score of 510/IBT 4.0 or 80, or an IELTS score of 6.
