flydubai invites motivated Emirati high school graduates to join its Aircraft Maintenance - Apprentice Engineer Programme. The fully sponsored four-year framework combines two training phases, including Phase 1 with CAR 147 GCAA certification and a monthly AED 6,000 stipend, followed by Phase 2 PME leading to a full Aircraft Technician role.

You will work on live aircraft, log progress, and prepare for a basic aircraft maintenance engineer licence.

Qualifications

• Educated to high school level (overall grade of 80% and above).
• Fluent in Arabic & English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Participate in intensive theoretical and practical training.
• Gain hands-on maintenance experience as an Aircraft Technician trainee after Phase 1.

flydubai calls motivated Emirati high school graduates to join its Aircraft Maintenance - Apprentice Engineer Programme, to acquire specialized skills under the sponsorship of flydubai Maintenance & Engineering department. With a promising career in aviation, candidates will receive the unique opportunity of becoming a certified Line Maintenance Engineer for flydubai, approved by GCAA.

The programme offers you a combination of theorical and practical training for students who have a keen interest in aviation or engineering or just love tinkering with gadgets, fixing machines and equipment - as they're likely to have an aptitude for Maintenance & engineering.

Programme Summary

Programme Details Our Aircraft Maintenance Engineering programme is fully sponsored and has an approximate duration of four years, consisting of two phases:

Phase 1 Initial Training - (Minimum Two years)

• You will go through intensive theoretical and practical training. Upon successful completion, you will receive a CAR 147 GCAA certificate. During this period, you will receive a monthly compensation of AED 6000.

Phase 2 Practical Maintenance Experience (PME) - (Minimum Two years)

• Those who are successful in phase 1 and meet the company standards will be offered a position as an Aircraft Technician trainee at flydubai.
• You will gain practical maintenance experience working on live aircraft and record your progress in an appropriate logbook.
• Upon completing this phase you will qualify to apply to GCAA for basic aircraft maintenance engineer licence (AMEL) and be absorbed as a full-fledged Aircraft Technician.

Minimum Requirements

• 17-24 years old
• Hold Valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid
• Educated to high school level (overall grade of 80% and above)
• Fluent in Arabic & English, both spoken and written
• EMSAT English (1100)
• EMSAT Math & Physics (75%)
• NQC 4 applied engineering stream
• National service completed (if applicable)
• Medically fit
• Proud to wear the uniform
• Able to work shifts
• Ministry of Education attestation is required for all certificates
