Job summary

Emirates Engineering Training College in Dubai offers the AMEL Scholarship for UAE nationals. The five-year program is split into two phases, with theoretical and practical training in Phase 1 and hands-on maintenance on live aircraft in Phase 2.

Monthly salaries start at 8,665 AED in Phase 1 and rise to 22,659–23,697 AED in Phase 2, with travel and medical benefits. Applicants must be 18–24, have a Grade 12 with 80%, complete National Service, be medically fit, hold a UAE passport and pass

Responsibilities

  • Receive phased salary progression during Phase 1 and Phase 2
  • Attend assessments including tests, interviews, and medical examinations

Job Purpose

Programme Details

Our AMEL programme is fully sponsored and has an approximate duration of five years, consisting of two phases:

Phase 1 – Initial Training (3 years)

You will go through intensive theoretical and practical training. Upon successful completion, you will receive a GCAA certificate from the Emirates Engineering Training College, a Higher Diploma from Emirates Aviation University (attested by Ministry of Higher Education), and a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering issued by NQC – MOHESR.

Phase 2 – Practical Maintenance Experience (2 years)

In this phase, you will gain practical maintenance experience working on live aircraft. Upon completing this phase, you will qualify to apply to GCAA for the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) and become a full‑fledged Aircraft Technician.

During this period, your monthly salary will progress to:

  • 1st year: AED 21,659
  • 2nd year: AED 22,659
  • Upon successful completion: AED 23,697
Qualifications
  • Age 18 to 24
  • Completed Grade 12 with a minimum score of 80 %
  • Completed National Service before joining the program (you can start the selection process after completing high school)
  • Medically fit
  • Hold a valid UAE passport and Khulasat Al Qaid
  • English fluency – post‑assessment TOEFL PBT score 510/IBT 4.0 or 80, or IELTS score 6
