Job summary

Fly Dubai is seeking a Maintenance Inspector to review and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in surface treatment workshops, including heat treatment, plating and peening. The role demands compliance with MOE, GCAA CAR Part V, CAR-145 and EASA Part-145 standards, with a strong focus on safety, quality and process control.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (2 years) in engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent in English; minimum 3 years relevant experience in aeronautical maintenance (2 years in aeronautical industry).
• Hands-on experience in peening and/or plating operations.
• Working knowledge of AMOS preferred; 3–5 years experience; GCAA modules 9 & 10 mandatory.
• Previous company authorization preferred; relevant shop training preferred; UAE GCAA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspects, reviews and certifies maintenance activities involving heat treatment, plating, peening and other surface treatment processes.
• Ensures processes comply with MOE, regulatory requirements, and approved process specifications.
• Verifies process parameters and records before certification.
• Reviews components for suitability and conformance to acceptance criteria.
• Certifies work orders, inspection reports and related documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintains identification, traceability and proper handling of materials and process media.
• Supports audits and implements corrective actions.
• Promotes safety culture and maintains authorizations and competencies.

Education

Associate Degree (2 years)

Diploma in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
