Job summary

The Emirates Group is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Supervisor to organize and deliver GSE onsite support for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities. You will work across Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, Overhaul, and other departments, ensuring equipment is serviceable and ready for flight operations.

You will supervise GSE performance, coordinate equipment inspections, and lead deployment and training efforts to support multiple customer sites, while upholding safety

Qualifications

• To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements.
• 10 Years schooling or equivalent, or an equivalent Formal Technical Apprenticeship Certificate in mechanical discipline.
• 6 years extensive experience in aircraft ground support equipment maintenance and operations.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, procedures and operation of complex aircraft tools.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft component logistics and safe handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Organise resources to deliver GSE support to Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Overhaul, Workshops and other customers.
• Inspect major specialised equipment prior to allocation on aircraft to ensure fault-free operation.
• Manage equipment defects and troubleshooting during on-site aircraft maintenance activities.
• Ensure rapid service delivery to meet aircraft schedules and service precedence.
• Provide on job training to junior staff to maximise skills and productivity.
• Lead the GSE team during outstation deployments for aircraft maintenance support.

Ground Support Equipment Supervisor will organise & deliver Ground Support Equipment GSE onsite support to all scheduled and un-scheduled aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with customer Base Maintenance Line Maintenance and other aircraft maintenance departments including third party airlines requirements Assist & contribute in updating GSE procedures in order to improve on operational safety and quality standards Ensure that the standards & procedures set in the EPM Engineering Procedures Manual are adhered to in all areas of operations

In this role you will Organise resources to effectively deliver GSE support to Line Maintenance Base maintenance Overhaul Workshops and other to customers to ensure that all aircraft & component maintenance activities are supported in professional manner Organise and perform inspection of major specialised equipment prior to allocation on aircraft This is critical to ensure that all aircraft maintenance projects receive equipment in fully functional & serviceable condition Manage equipment defects & troubleshooting tasks during aircraft maintenance activities on-site Ensure that Line Maintenance Base Maintenance and all other departments are backed by rapid service delivery to meet aircraft schedules in accordance to order of priority & service precedence Provide on job training to junior staff in order to maximise skills and increase productivity Supervise aircraft component logistics support tasks ensuring all such activities are performed safely and in accordance with outlined procedures Lead the GSE team during outstation deployments for aircraft maintenance support This involves dedicated attention for equipment preparation support and repacking in well organised & controlled manner to ensure efficient support delivery and management of equipment Monitor & control quality of work carried out by GSE staff & ensure safety procedures are adhered to Provide input regarding performance of staff in terms of their competencies and initiate appropriate actions Actively participate in the aircraft crash recovery Should be fully conversant with equipment operations logistics and deployment procedures

Qualification

• Valid UAE Driving Licence
• Good standard of English written spoken
• Basic computer skills
