Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
• More than 2 years of experience in air freight or SCM.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of plans and processes to implement the AFR product and capacity management strategy
• Provide allocation and reservations of freight on planned linehaul and flights required for hub and operations performance
• Assist in responding to product and capacity management enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner
• Execute tasks and activities while ensuring effective resource management and optimizing productivity for the day-to-day operations
• Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
• Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines
• Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive products and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
• Understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
• May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions
• Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications to AFR product and capacity management methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

In this Air Freight SCM Specialist position
