Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Technical Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in software development, technical project management, and delivery of AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate must come from a strong technical background and have hands‑on development experience, enabling them to effectively collaborate with engineering, data science, product, DevOps, and business teams.

The candidate will be responsible for managing end‑to‑end delivery of AI and software projects, translating business requirements into technical execution plans, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI, machine learning, data, and software development projects.
• Own project timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with product managers, software engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business objectives into technical requirements, project plans, architecture discussions, and implementation roadmaps.
• Drive Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage project scope, priorities, change requests, and delivery expectations.
• Identify technical risks, delivery blockers, and cross‑functional dependencies, and implement mitigation plans.
• Review technical designs, development approaches, APIs, system integrations, data pipelines, and deployment strategies.
• Facilitate discussions related to AI/ML model development, data quality, model validation, MLOps, monitoring, and production deployment.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, security practices, and quality processes.
• Track project progress using metrics such as velocity, burn‑down, delivery status, defect trends, and release readiness.
• Coordinate software releases, production deployments, user acceptance testing, and post‑release activities.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained, including requirements, technical plans, RAID logs, release plans, and project reports.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering and project delivery processes.
• Mentor project managers, technical leads, and delivery team members when required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, technical project management, program management, or technology delivery.
• Strong prior experience in software development with hands‑on coding or development responsibilities.
• Experience managing complex AI, machine learning, data engineering, cloud, or enterprise software projects.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience working with engineering teams and understanding technical architecture and implementation challenges.
• Ability to read and understand code, APIs, database designs, system architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Experience managing projects from discovery and requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Rally, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
