Job summary

Quantum Talent Group is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join a major technology transformation programme. You will design, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, intelligent agents and automation solutions using Generative AI and LLM technologies.

The role is hands-on, focused on building scalable, secure and production-ready AI solutions within a large enterprise setting. You will work with Azure OpenAI, Python, and modern AI frameworks to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with AI/ML and Generative AI.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience building LLM or Gen AI apps.
• Strong Python development skills; experience with FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Experience building AI agents and multi-step workflows.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, semantic search and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI models or similar LLM platforms.
• Familiarity with document AI, data extraction and intelligent automation.
• Experience integrating APIs and cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of Git, Docker, CI/CD and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will design, develop and deploy AI-powered applications, intelligent agents and automation solutions using the latest Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building scalable, secure and production‑ready AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy AI agents, LLM applications and intelligent automation workflows.
• Build Generative AI solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and document processing solutions.
• Integrate AI applications with enterprise systems, APIs and external tools.
• Develop and optimise AI workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph or Semantic Kernel.
• Test, evaluate and improve AI models and applications for accuracy, performance and security.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver production‑ready AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with strong exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience developing LLM or Generative AI applications.
• Strong Python development skills, ideally including FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Experience building AI agents and multi‑step workflows.
• Knowledge of RAG, vector embeddings, semantic search and prompt engineering.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI models or similar LLM platforms.
• Familiarity with document AI, data extraction and intelligent automation.
• Experience integrating APIs and working with cloud‑based applications.
• Understanding of Git, Docker, CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.

Desireable:

• Experience with LangGraph, Semantic Kernel or similar agent frameworks.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience with AI evaluation tools and LLM security best practices.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Previous experience delivering AI solutions within financial services or other large enterprise environments.
• Relevant Azure AI or AWS AI certifications.
